Sonica festival, Italy 2006

Sonica 2006 in beautiful Toscana Italy was situated only 1 km from the crystal waters of Bolsena lake.
Pedro and his team of
deco
artists made a superb solution to creat shade on the dance floor and with temperatures of 44 oC it was really effetive and
visually stunning. Still, they got only half of the attendance they had the previous year. The line up was 'fat', but the
complaints I heard from my visiting customers was that the sets only lasted 1 hour, which is basically 8 tracks and made it
difficult for the djs to creat their space. The finally of the festival turned out to be a summer storm and as a result
we lost the last set from Hallucegen. Everybody was hoping the turn the music back on for his set but it didn't happen.
Still, to enjoy the decoration, music and especially the location and surrounding 'Etruscan' villages, it was worth the long
hot and ardious drive down from the Antaris festival near Berlin and expence just to experience it all.

Antaris project 2006

Antaris 2006 near Rihno, about 100 km from Berlin, had again super sunny summer weather and an atmosphere to go with it.
With about 6000 people it was up on attendance from last year. The deco was superb as usual. I hope for the organisers
that next year they get the 10 000+ people coming that they deserve. 

Fullmoon festival Germany 2006

Fullmoon festival 2006 was situated this year close by Wittstock between Hamburg and Berlin on an old disused Russian air
base. The weather continued to blast us with sunshine like in the Fusion. Luckily, we got a short summer rain storm at the
beginning of the festival which helped contain the dust. They had a super sprinkler system around the dance floor that
cooled us to dance through out the hot sunny week of 24 hours non stop music. Attendance was down on the previous years
but for those fortunate enough to be there we had a super time.

Fusion festival, germany 2006

Fusion 2006 had the biggest turnout ever, with estimates of 39K to 49K guests. We were placed on the trance floor
that was situated right on the edge of the festival, so I am sure many people didn't find us. The festival was in
fact super as usual. It had been 4 years since Pagan Productions had been able to come to the Fusion and it had
certainly increased in size. Germany won their place in the semi finals of the world cup and with the scorching
weather spirits were at their highest. With 5 or 6 stages you were spoiled for choice of dance music. I got the
best dance with Anais by Seebuhne floor on the Sunday morning. However our favouite food supply, 'Pizza Walla',
was missing, as as Pagan productions is usually place beside them in every festival through out the summer, I
discovered I was not the only one who was missing them, as many customers were asking me where they were. I
really hope they will be there next year. This is really a festival not to be missed. 

Life Festival

So, just back from my first festival of this summer season and first trance festival for Pagan Productions in Ireland. It took place at the beautiful grounds and gardens of Charleville castle in Co Offaly, right in the center of Ireland. To plan even a bar-b-q in Ireland is very difficult with our ever changing weather never mind an out door festival, but this

weekend the weather Gods were with us and the sun was shining for most of the event. Fernando and Israel, the two main organizers, did a superb job and had a great team of friendly helpers to make it happen. The vibe was super friendly and the locals too. About 1200 people showed up to the event but with only 700 paying guests it was never going to be enough to cover the costs, but everyone who was there will, for sure, be going to their next one and bring some friends with them.
The locals were impressed by the good behavior of the guests as there were no drunks and no trouble of any kind.
Hopefully next year we can convince more international guests to come not only for the festival but it gives them a good reason to visit Ireland that many have voiced their desire to me but as it is not on the way anywhere they really need a festival to encourage them to come.

Next festival for Pagan Productions will be the 'Fusion' in north Germany. This is a super dance festival with many stages and all kinds of electronic dance music. It starts on the 29th June.
